St Pius X Pupils 'Take 5'

On Thursday 30 January 2020 representatives from Sperrin Cultural Awareness Association visited St Pius X College to present KS4 & KS5 Students with their personal “It’s Ok to ask for Help” card as part of a wide range of ongoing ‘Take 5’ support events planned and delivered by the college to support pupil well-being.

During their recent visit SCAA explained that their government funded organisation was currently involved in a Personal Youth Development Programme with participants from the local area. As part of this programme their participants designed a Mental Health Awareness Helpline card that young people could keep in their possession at all times.

St Pius X students were delighted to welcome the SCAA representatives and were enthusiastic in their discussion about the benefits that this card would bring to many young people throughout the Mid Ulster area.

Over the next few weeks we will be showcasing just some of the many ‘Take 5’ initiatives that are taking place all the time in St Pius X College where pupil wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. For further updates please continue to visit our web-site or follow us on twitter.
