Primary School Links Overview
St. Pius X College enjoys excellent links with our primary schools. Various activities take place throughout the academic year to help to maintain these important links. Local primary schools are often hosted at the college for a variety of events as well as workshops. Meanwhile, our teachers also visit local primary schools to share best-practice in Teaching and Learning and share curricular resources. The transition from Primary School to Secondary is one of the major steps our children take during the course of their education and it’s important to us to make this transition as smooth as possible. With this is mind we encourage pupils right from primary 5 to primary 7 to participate in our menu of activities.
St. Pius X College enjoys a close relationship and professional partnership with our feeder primary schools. There are a range of now well established annual events as well as workshops and cross phase development projects currently ongoing.
