2. What reading material would you recommend to your younger self and why?

‘The Harry Potter series because I think I’d be a better reader now if I’d read them when I was younger’

‘Any funny books because the memory of them will make me happier when I’m having a bad day’

‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas because it would have made me kinder to all the people who were in my life’

‘The Girl in the Red Coat because it would have made me start reading at a younger age’

‘Comics as they would have made me more interested in reading at a younger age’

‘Any books by David Walliams as I’ve haven’t stopped reading him since I read Awful Auntie’

‘The Diary of Anne Frank because it would have made me more appreciative of what I had and have at such a young age’

‘Almost everything by Roald Dahl especially George’s Marvellous Medicine, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and Matilda as I would have fallen in love with reading immediately’

‘A book called Greatest Football Skills Tutorial. If I had read it earlier I would be like Messi now’

‘Hetty Feather because it would have been inspirational as it’s a book about finding your real mother and father’

‘The Gruffalo because it might have made me realise at a younger age that reading is actually fun’
