On Wednesday 18th March 2015 Year 13 Geography students spent a morning completing a river fieldwork investigation on the upper River Roe as part of their AS Geography studies. The students entered the river at appointed sites and collected data on a number of river parameters for analysis and later interpretation.

In the afternoon the students travelled to the University of Ulster where Dr Paul Dunlop led the students on a remote sensing and GIS
workshop. The day ended with a visit to Portstewart Strand to observe dune succession in progress. A productive and excellent day was had by all.

The pupils were accompanied on the day by Mrs MA Diamond, Head of Geography and Mrs
C Bell, Head of Key Stage 4.
