St. Pius X College Pupils Become BBC School Reporters!

bbcbus - Interview with New Ancestors

Newsday At St Pius X College

Pupils from the Biodiversity Club at St. Pius X College created a radio report on the Northern Ireland budget cuts to the Department of the Environment.  The BBC School Report Team, along with television journalist Natasha Millar, visited the school to help them.

The pupils conducted a Skype interview with Colum Delaney from the RSPB and also obtained an actual statement of the Department of the Environment to find out how these budgets cuts may affect our local natural world.  Our own pupils and staff were interviewed to discover their views on the importance of conserving our native wildlife.  This was a very enjoyable day and the Biodiversity Club produced an excellent and very relevant news report.
