GAA Colleges All Star Awards
Dania Donnelly, a year 13 pupil from St Pius X College, was recently awarded a highly coveted Ulster Colleges Camogie All-Star. Dania has been an influential and hugely talented player for both her school and club Ballinascreen. Speaking of Dania’s success, St Pius Camogie Coach Mrs G O’Neill said ‘I am incredibly proud of Dania’s achievement. It has been a pleasure to work with her over the past six years seeing her grow and develop into a highly skilful and dedicated player. She is a true leader on the field and richly deserves this success.’ Dania will now go on to play on the Ulster team in the interprovincial finals on March 31st.

Congratulations to John Carron, a year 14 pupil from St Pius X College, who was awarded an Ulster Colleges Football All star award. John achieved a highly coveted Midfield birth despite stiff pressure from all the other participating schools, throughout Ulster. John plays his club football with Erins Own Cargin GAC where he as attained notable success at every level. He is the second GAA Colleges All Star award for the school in recent years and follows as one of many from the St. Pius X College conveyor belt of talent. His manager John Mulholland enthused that, “John is every coaches dream, a complete athlete who is dedicated to being the best that he can be, though his club coaches deserve equal acknowledgement for this prestigious award”.
