Road Safety - Walking Forward
Year 11-14 students at St. Pius X College, Magherafelt recently viewed a drama production on the theme of Road Safety, produced by the well known ‘Walking Forward’ Drama Group based in London. This group is working with the NEELB & Department of the Environment to try and bring home the essential message of road safety among young people, particularly as they are approaching driving age. Five actors performed the drama entitled ‘Never Saw The Day’ following the lives of five friends and how their plans are tragically disrupted by a road traffic accident. The key objective of the play is to increase awareness of the potentially negative consequences of road accidents and to challenge contemporary attitudes towards road safety. , Aedan (Year 11) and Megan (Year 12).JPG)
